Barossa Improved Grazing Group (BIGG) will host a Field Walk at Flaxman Valley from 2pm on Friday 26 June 2026, showcasing the region’s first poly‑lined catchment. The Field Walk will provide an overview of how the 1-hectare catchment was constructed and integrated with existing farm infrastructure to harvest rainfall, thereby improving on‑farm water security.

A successful grains research internship program is continuing to bring a new generation of researchers to the Eyre Peninsula, with its sixth annual intern recently appointed. Anna Osmond has taken up the role, joining a team of experts working on local projects in applied grains research, development and extension based across the region.
Public voting is now open to determine the top 10 towns of the 2026 Agricultural Town of the Year Award. You can choose from the 91 towns that were nominated. Anyone can cast a vote. Voting closes on 3 June 2026.
