The sheep and goat eID implementation essential equipment rebate (producers) has now opened

The grant is available to South Australian producers to assist with costs for equipment needed to conduct property to property (P2P) movements and meet NLIS reporting obligations for sheep and farmed goats.

SA producers can apply for a 75% rebate on the cost of essential equipment up to a maximum amount based on the quantity of head movements onto property directly from another property.

The maximum rebate amount depends on average yearly head movements for the past 3 years (2021 to 2023):
up to $500 for movements of 100 or less animals
up to $2,000 for movements of between 101 and 5,000 animals
up to $20,000 for movements of more than 5,000 animals.

Applications must be submitted online and are open until 5pm (ACST) 30 June 2025 or until funding is exhausted.
