Feed nutrition of low rainfall crops and pastures – podcast out now

The second year of feed nutrition results are in and MSF catch up with Livestock Consultant Hamish Dickson, AgriPartner Consulting, to discuss the results of the AWI funded Feed Nutrition project. The last two years have provided a valuable data set of the nutritive value of common crops and pasture species that are common in the Mallee and low rainfall mixed cropping regions. These results will provide data sets for improved nutrition management of livestock across the growing season.

Stakeholder Advisory Group meetings kick off with view to 2023

Following its launch on 30 June 2021, the SA Drought Hub rapidly established itself as a focal point in efforts to strengthen the drought resilience and preparedness of farms and regional communities in South Australia. In its first year, the Hub established six nodes, commenced 18 projects and 28 demonstration sites, and held 32 training and learning events. In doing so, it engaged almost 50 partner organisations and more than 500 individuals.
