Nominations are now open to join the Ag Excellence Alliance Committee

Grower Group and industry representatives are invited to nominate for a position on the Ag Excellence Alliance Committee (Ag Ex).

There are two Committee vacancies up for election to be filled at the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 10 August 2021 at the Barossa Novotel, Rowland Flat.

Committee member, Trent Potter recently announced his retirement after nearly a decade of valuable service, five of those as Chair of Ag Ex.

Current Chair, Leet Wilksch acknowledged Trent’s exceptional commitment to Ag Ex. “Trent has played an integral role in the operation and delivery of extension projects. His extensive experience within the agricultural research industry has been pivotal in leading and contributing to the mix of knowledge around the table”, said Mr Wilksch

The Alliance is highly regarded as a pro-active group in bringing representatives together to achieve greater collaboration and cohesion in information sharing and project delivery.

Ag Ex appreciates the time and financial constraints for some industry bodies to release their personnel and in recognition offers a sitting fee for non-government representatives.

Current Ag Ex Committee member terms due to expire include Meg Bell, David Evans, Tony Randall, Leet Wilksch, Nat Sommerville, and Mark Stanley, all of who are eligible to renominate for another 2-year term.

The position of Committee member requires attendance at a minimum of three meetings annually in Adelaide and video conferencing when deemed necessary. It is also essential that potential members take on an advocacy role for Ag Ex goals and deliverables.

With their consent, Nominees can be nominated by two existing Ag Excellence members by completing the form below. In the event that the nominees are not members, a membership form can also be completed online.
