New appointments to the MFMG board and operations committee
MacKillop Farm Management Group welcomed several new faces to both the Board and the Operations Committee at their Annual General Meeting held at Willalooka recently.
The Board thanked long-serving member Chris Moyle (pictured) in his role as Agribusiness Specialist (Westpac) who has stepped down after six years. Joining the Board in an Agribusiness Specialist role is Alexander McKenzie (pictured), Senior Relationship Manager with Westpac based in Naracoorte. Simon Ballinger has joined the Board in the position of Primary Producer. Simon and his wife Ellie operate a predominantly cropping enterprise near Wolseley.
Continuing Board members are Hamish Watson, Brett Gilbertson, Jeremy Lush, Scott Harlock and Adrian Carter.
The MFMG Operations Committee identifies cropping, soils, livestock and pastures research and extension opportunities and for 2025-2026 includes continuing Primary Producer representatives: Tim Williams from Conmurra, Hugh Teate and Scott Harlock from Bool Lagoon, Robbie Childs from Kalangadoo, James Pitchford from Keith, Claire Koch, Penola and Mitchell Ludwig, Naracoorte. Joining the Ops Committee for 2025-26 are Nicholas Hille (Conmurra) and Alex Walter (Wrattonbully).
Continuing specialist Ops Committee members are Adrian Carter, Jason McClure, Amanda Pearce, Michael Wilkes, Michael McGurk and Nathaniel Modra. Aaron Giason accepted the nomination to join the Ops Committee in a specialist position.
MFMG Chair Brett Gilbertson thanked Ops Committee members Aston Barr and Tara Hindson for their contribution to the Group.
Following the AGM forty MFMG members, ag specialists and sponsors enjoyed a casual dinner at Willalooka's Xmas Rocks Barn Venue and heard from Gold Sponsors Chris Matthews (MGA Insurance) and Pat Harrold (Harrold Services) on their journey and interests in the Limestone Coast.
