Mallee Sustainable Farming (MSF) is seeking a new chief

Gemma Walker, who has headed up MSF in Mildura for the last 3 years, has decided to take up an opportunity to return and run her family farm in Western Australia.

Chairman of MSF, Ian Hastings said “Gemma leaves a great legacy from her time at MSF. We have grown from a relatively poorly resourced organisation a few years ago, to one which now employs 4 staff plus several contractors and manages research projects of over $1million per annum throughout the Mallee regions. Gemma can be proud of her record. We wish her every success.”

Hastings said that MSF would immediately move to find a new Executive Manager. “We deliver substantial benefits to Mallee farming communities, so it is critical that MSF finds a leader who is committed to those ideals. Agriculture is on the national agenda, so this is a great opportunity.”

Gemma Walker will leave MSF in September/October, so recruitment for a replacement is under way.
