Just Released – ‘The Technical Resource Manual for Farm Fire Recovery

A fire recovery manual is now available to assist farmers in South Australia’s Lower North cropping region as they deal with the aftermath of last year’s Pinery bushfire.

The Technical Resource Manual for Farm Fire Recovery was developed by the SA Research and Development Institute (SARDI) in response to the Lower Eyre Peninsula “Black Tuesday” fire in January 2005.

The manual is designed to be a resource for farmers, land managers, advisors and Government agencies to assist in the fire recovery process at the farm level. Information is provided on the key management issues that farmers will need to address over the months following a fire, to return their paddocks to full production.
