Applications now open to join your local Landscape SA Board

South Australia’s landscapes are in your hands.

The South Australian Government is delivering a new framework for how our landscapes are managed by putting community at the heart of managing the state’s landscapes.

Underpinning this new approach is the new Landscape South Australia Act 2019 (the Act), that will replace the Natural Resources Management Act 2004 from 1 July 2020.

New regional landscape boards will administer the Act and partner with government and regional communities. The new boards will deliver a stronger, back-to-basics system with greater focus on soil, water, pest plants and animals, and biodiversity. The boards will also have greater autonomy and flexibility to respond to local issues.

If you are passionate about the natural resources that support the sustainable growth of your industry and community – we want you.

We need strategic thinkers ready to empower our communities to sustainably manage our state’s landscapes; managing our land, water, pest plants and animals, and biodiversity.

Nominate now to be a member of your region’s landscape board.

Be part of the change to put community back at the heart of managing our state’s landscapes.

This is an introductory guide to the roles and responsibilities of landscape boards and their members.
