The Barossa Improved Grazing Group (BIGG) looks at how local producers are managing and recovering pastures damaged during the 2014 Eden Valley bushfire.

BIGG is a community-driven network of livestock production and farming groups from the Barossa and surrounding areas to deliver and communicate the outcomes of projects that promote sustainable farming and enhance the productivity and NRM outcomes for landholders in the region.

In 2013 BIGG received a Natural Resources Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges grant to Share innovative sustainable pasture management and NRM stories. The project aims to showcase the learnings, achievements and innovations demonstrated in BIGG’s sustainable pasture management and on-farm NRM projects during the 2012-14 growing seasons.
