Strategies to prepare for a dry spring and summer

Autumn and Winter have been really tough and the outlook for Spring and Summer are uncertain.The SA Drought Hub, in conjunction with Turner Agri and Talking Livestock, will be hosting a series of workshops to support farmers in preparing their businesses to respond to the coming season. Workshop includes:
- Making difficult decisions around selling, retaining and/or feeding stock
- Developing feed budgets and understanding trigger points
- Developing a water budget (if applicable)
- Developing feed rations and the use of containment feeding
- Managing stock to optimise their performance for the coming year
- Long-term economic impacts
