Mesonet weather station information session

March 28 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am

Come along to the Mesonet weather station information session, and hear from prominent agriculturalist Mick Faulkner on how the Mesonet can support your farming operations.

The sessions will cover:

  • Spray drift and safe spray practices (including hazardous inversions);
  • An overview of the Mesonet infrastructure and what it does;
  • A live demo and interactive demo which shows how the app can be used in real-time for safe and efficient spraying. www.mesonet.com.au

About the Limestone Coast Mesonet weather station network:

  • The Mesonet is now in the Limestone Coast, Langhorne Creek, and McLaren Vale!
  • The Mesonet is a high-spec weather station network that differentiates between hazardous and non-hazardous inversions for safe efficient spraying. This has been the missing piece of the puzzle to help combat spray drift damage and pesticide contamination.
  • Additionally, all other ag-weather data is also supplied such as fire danger, rain, frost, etc. Data quality is equivalent to the BoM with stations every ~30km, covering 50% of SA’s arable land.
  • The Limestone Coast Mesonet is free for everyone but only for a limited time!
Find out more about the Mesonet weather station network on the MFMG Project Page.
Free to attend, however for catering purposes and to ensure we have sufficient seating please register to attend by Wednesday 20 March.
Tea and coffee and a light breakfast are available on arrival.
