It’s the Summer of Weeds

Support farmers in decision making for summer fallow weed control to conserve the soil moisture profile from a wet spring and see improved spray application throughout the district.
New and existing technologies demonstrations to help increase adoption of spray technology that improve summer fallow weed management, reduces off target drift and improve herbicide application efficiency.
It will include:
- Static displays and presentations at Southern Flinders Sports Complex in Gladstone from 1pm.
- Paddock visits via bus to look at trial demonstrations including: 10 ha demo strips
- Machinery and technology demos On North side of Idlib Road
- Keynote speaker Ray Harrington – Farmer, innovator of Harrington Seed Destructor, member of GRDC green on green camera development group.
- Dinner at Southern Flinders Sports Complex for Networking opportunities & Keynote speaker
