GRDC Grains Research Update – exploring late weed control tactics, resistance testing and snail managment

Chris Davey – YP Ag and WeedSmart Agronomist

Chris will bring his extensive experience to cover off on late season weed control tactics to tidy up that late ryegrass; target those late germinating broadleaves in cereals. Chris will also explore the growing role of resistance testing as a management tool.

Kym Perry – SARDI Entomology

Mediterranean pest snails continue to spread and cause headaches in affect areas. Kym will highlight the key control strategies and current research working to improve snail management including bait timing and management.

Agronomist panel

Agronomists, Troy Johnson (SA Yorke Peninsula) and Andrew McMahen (Vic Mallee) will contribute to the discussion from their experience and to provide local context and commentary.
