Autumn Sticky Beak Friday – Coojar / Nareen
March 13 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
To kick off the day we’ll be heading to Tim and Georgie Leeming’s Coojar property ‘Paradoo’ for a sticky beak of their journey across 18 years, growing from 3000DSE to 30,000DSE with a move into lamb feedlotting, and a recent change in direction with re-allocation of assets, priorities and focus. What got them to where they are now, and how do they ensure their diverse enterprises deliver consistent output?
We’ll then make our way to Nareen, visiting Richie and Sardie Edgar’s property, ‘West Cuyuac’ – a family-run business focusing on commercial lamb production and finishing through a feed lot system and fodder crops, with a ewe flock based on composite genetics from Paradoo Prime. Along the way they’ve purchased ex-forestry land – what have been the challenges and how have they made it work for them?
