Sold on Sulla
Farm consultant Bill Long and Yorke Peninsula farmer Trevor Polkinghorne discuss the benefits of Sulla as a legume forage option in Trevor’s farming system. Sulla is a comparatively new forage legume on the Yorke Peninsula. It is a short-term perennial species with excellent water use efficiency potential and is valued both as a high nutritional value hay and grazing species. Being a perennial it will respond quickly to out of season rainfall and provide early season feed when annuals are still establishing.
