Carbon Essentials for Agribusiness

Join the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board for a series of free workshops and feedback sessions designed to share current information and facilitate discussion & inform agri-business directions – the sessions will comprise multiple break-out sessions to enable discussion of related scenarios, questions, problems and ideas.
Some of the items covered by the workshops:
- Comparison of common produce certification systems and QA systems/environmental management systems against the carbon footprint calculation process
- Does my business need to calculate a carbon footprint? What are the current options or tools for calculating annual estimations of emissions per ton of produce?
- Latest progressions in Australian Government carbon policy and carbon sequestration methods/practices for agriculture
- Realistic practice change options and considering these for mitigating emissions on farm – or is their income stream potential?
- Understanding where your enterprise fits in the carbon economy and how to interpret the carbon marketplace
- Sessions will comprise facilitated feedback sessions to enable your questions to be answered and your suggestions to be incorporated into future industry workshop content.
These events are free to attend and include breakfast, morning tea or afternoon tea depending on what session is selected.
