Water Wise Leak Detection Systems

Branding Ag Excellence

The Tailem Bend to Keith pipeline was constructed in the 1960’s to supply water to 500,000 hectares of grazing land in the Upper South East of South Australia. The price of water has more than quadrupled since that time with water bills in the $100,000’s, making the viability of grazing questionable. It has been estimated that 20% of water purchased is lost through leakages in on farm distribution systems. New technologies combined with mobile phone systems have been developed to address this issue, saving tens of thousands of dollars each year to grazing enterprises and saving precious water resources.
