Extending best practice wool innovation on Eyre Peninsula

Branding Community Sourced

Jessica Crettenden, Research Officer with SARDI at the Minnipa Agricultural Centre on the upper Eyre Peninsula, discusses a new project that will use the centre’s merino sheep flock as a practical demonstration and a focus for discussion for merino breeders across the region. A key outcome from the project is to increase the understanding of Australian Sheep Breeding Values (ASBV’s) and Flock Breeding Values (FBV’s) using the Sheep Genetics system, MERINOSELECT. This research is being conducted as part of the project “Extending Best Practice Wool Innovations on Eyre Peninsula”, funded by: Australian Wool Innovation.
