Scholarships on offer to broaden students’ horizons

Students entering an agriculture-related course in 2015 have the opportunity to apply for a Horizon Scholarship – but they need to do so by January 30. The Horizon Scholarship Program, managed by the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC) and supported by industry partners including the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), brings benefits to students including:
• A bursary of $5000 per year for the duration of their degree
• Opportunities to network and gain knowledge at a range of industry events
• Annual industry work placements giving first-hand exposure to modern agricultural practices
• Professional development workshops.
